Job Description Overview AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Instrumentation & Controls Engineering Intern - Summer 2027 to join our Bothell, WA office.
Your Role - Learn to interpret and analyze various types of engineering drawings, including P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), electrical schematics, and loop diagrams
- Assist in reviewing and verifying engineering drawings for accuracy
- Maintain and update data in engineering databases or software tools
- Under the mentorship of team members, learn to perform a variety of engineering tasks as it pertains to instrumentation and controls engineering, including sizing instrumentation, control valves, and designing process control logic
About You - EXPERIENCE:
- No experience is generally required if accepted into an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program in a related technical field.
- EDUCATION:
- Must have completed 60 hours towards a chemical, mechanical, or electrical engineering degree from an ABET accredited program by the start of the internship (Summer 2027).
- SPECIAL SKILLS:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite products
- Experience with AutoCAD (not required, but preferred)

Additional Information Expected compensation range is between $25 - $31 hourly depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
