Job Description

Gilead Sciences seeks a research intern for the medicinal chemistry department in Foster City, California. The role involves conducting experiments, operating scientific equipment, analyzing data, and presenting findings over a 10–12 week summer commitment.

Responsibilities

• Perform experiments supporting medicinal chemistry research activities under general supervision
• Operate scientific equipment, select appropriate methods, analyze data, and document findings in electronic notebook
• Plan and organize experiment details and logistics
• Participate in group meetings and present data, results, and conclusions
• Deliver final presentation summarizing internship work near conclusion

Requirements

• Currently enrolled full-time in Bachelor's, Master's, MBA, JD, or PhD program at accredited U.S. institution
• Minimum 2.8 cumulative GPA at application and hire
• Independent work authorization in United States without sponsorship requirement
• At least 18 years of age at internship start
• Ability to commit 10-12 consecutive weeks between May and August
• Willingness to work on-site at designated location; hybrid model required

Compensation: $20.00 - $55.00 hourly
