In this role, you will ride along with an experienced driver to assist with the safe and efficient delivery of oversized and extra-large packages directly to customers' doors. No prior delivery experience? No problem — we provide paid training and everything you need to hit the ground running.

Key Responsibilities – Delivery Driver Helper (Non CDL)

As a Delivery Helper, you will work side-by-side with a delivery driver to ensure every package reaches its destination safely and on time. Your day-to-day will include:

• Report to our warehouse location each morning for shift loadout and package preparation
• Assist the delivery driver with loading and unloading oversized and extra-large packages from a DOT-regulated delivery vehicle (16–26 ft.)
• Follow your navigated delivery route, ensuring all packages are delivered accurately and on schedule
• Load and unload the delivery vehicle with care, following proper lifting and safety techniques
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections alongside the driver
• Communicate with dispatch to provide real-time delivery status updates
• Interact with customers and the public in a professional, courteous manner — representing Fair Winds Logistics with pride
• Support the driver in maintaining the vehicle and ensuring all deliveries are completed efficiently
• Follow all safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment on the road and at the warehouse
• End each shift back at the warehouse for post-route check-in and vehicle return

Qualifications

Delivery Driver Helper Requirements – Non CDL

We are looking for dependable team players who are ready to work hard and grow with us. Requirements for this Non CDL Delivery Driver Helper role include:

• Must be at least 21 years of age (required per DOT regulations for this vehicle class)
• Must pass a 5-panel drug screen; random testing also required
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a positive attitude
• Ability to work well within a team and follow directions
• Strong communication skills and a customer-first mindset
• Ability to operate a smartphone and GPS navigation
• Previous experience in delivery, logistics, or warehouse operations is a plus — but not required
• Physically able to:
  • Lift up to 70 lbs. independently, or up to 300 lbs. with team lift assistance
  • Climb multiple flights of stairs while handling large packages
  • Walk up to 6 miles per day
• English proficiency required
